At the time off we go heading west to dodge the 30 kph trades. As we passed the first fad we took an ono hit and Stanley landed a nice ono. Then we found an open school and took a hit and Scot baited up one more Joe's bully was 30 pounds, good going. At the next fad we jigged and caught 1 shibi and ran it live. We baited and jigged nothing happened, and were getting ready to troll when a marlin swims by and Scot drops a bait out and hooks it on 80 with 100 leader and Stanley is the angler. This fish was spectacular in how much it jumped, it even rushed the boat as it jumped back towards us and passed us 20 yards out flying out of the water as we gassed it away. Then just when we thought it was done it came to life and put on a great show 10 yards behind the boat, Stanley managed to get this wild fish that looked to be about 180 pounds to within 10 feet of the boat before it jumped one last time and broke the leader, it was a great fight. Back in the harbor Joe and Stanley both ate mahi and ono eyeballs gladly, Joe even wanted seconds, good going you guys did great. Aloha Capt Rusty
