Now who makes a better lure becomes open for debate. I have a very strict policy of supporting original lure makers wherever possible, but it becomes a gray area reel quick, however a quality lure maker / fisherman is easy to spot and well appreciated because they are going through the process with inspiration not duplication in mind...
If a serious lure maker is influenced by another lure maker and comes up with something similar, but with a twist I am for it. To that point if two guys in seperate parts of the world come up with similar products, so be it.
It's the knock off artists who replicate lures and try to pass them off as there own with or without a differen't name that is bothersome.
On the masher/kwagga, I still think it's closer to a Ruckus. Big Dog is Super dog with a break, a little smaller overall size, a smaller face and definitely longer...Then again I have some Henry's in the store that we call Huckus's because it's kinda close...That's the beauty of the hand made stuff, it's really cool how some shapes migrate over the years...
At the end of the day, does it run like you want it too, where you want it too AND do you catch fish?
