Frisco Rod and Gun Fishing Report 5-22-10
Fishing Report 5/17
It has been prety slow along the beaches the last two days but I did hear a 32 in drum and a 13 lb blue were caught at ramp 55.
The inshore boats had spanish, blues, and flounder. Some cobia were caught off of Ocracoke but not as many as yesterday. One inshore charter had 60 cobia yesterday.
Offshore there was pretty good dolphin fishing along with a few wahoo and yellowfin. One blue narlin was hooked and lost.

Beach fishing was a little on the slow side but a few sea mullet and blues were reported.
The inshore boats had good catches of cobia and spanish mackerel. They had to go a long way south to find the cobia.
Offshore there were lots of dolphin caught along with the best showing of billfish that we have had this year.
Fishing Report 5/19
Overcast and rainy this morning. South east winds 5-10 mph and highs in the upper 60's. The only fish from the beach that I have heard were some blues and a 25 in puppy drum on cut bait here on the Frisco beach. Inshore there were decent catches of gray trout, flounder, blues and spanish mackerel. Offshore gaffer dolphin fishing was really good. A few billfish were released, a blue, white and a sailfish.
Fishing Report 5/18
Plenty of rain thru-out the morning and cloud for the rest of the day.
Hatteras had a 52 inch drum released off ramp 55. All other reports from Avon to Hatteras was scattered catches of Sea Mullet, and Blues.
Inshore Charters reported great Blue fish catches and some nice keeper Flounder.
All the charter boats were in early offshore. The seas were very choppy.
Had a few chum-mers in the parties.

Fishing Report 5/25
Windy and mostly cloudy today. Northeast winds 15-20 mph and highs in the low 70's. The beaches today, on the north and south side were extremely rough and almost impossible to fish. No one that I have talked to has heard of any fish caught from the surf. Some nice flounder were caught from inshore boats inside the inlet, up to 20 inches. Offshore only one boat went out and they caught some dolphin, amberjack and released a 200lb bull shark.
