The water in the delta is cooling down and the fish are getting less aggressive when they take the bait. The stripers are not running like they did a couple of weeks ago. Lots of times all you get is a little action on the bait and you set the hook and the striper has the bait. Shad has been a good bait for both stripers and sturgeon. The drastic change to the colder weather has slowed all the fishing. As the barometer levels out all the delta fishing should get better again. The weather could not be better with cold the first thing in the moring the with in a hour start to warm up. I would think the fishing will turn around by the end of the week. But what we realy need is RAIN and that will turn thing around right away. If you are coming to fish with us might want to stop by Nana"s in the marina for breakfast burrito or just a gat breakfast at the right price. Just give us a call for up to the minent report.
