News From The River

North Santiam River: Action picked up for steelhead the first couple of days this week but then slowed down again the rest of this week so far. That's the thing when your chasing steelhead. Some days they are on and other days they are off. Water conditions are good right now for swinging flies.
McKenzie River: Trout fishing has been good in the evenings on Caddis adults and Little Yellow Stone adults. For steelhead try below Leaburg Dam early mornings and evenings using Limit Landers, Cabellero Egg Patterns, Green Butt Skunks and Purple leech patterns. Picture is of our renegade fish stealer on the McKenzie River.
Deschutes River: Lower river water temps are a bit warm. Try just fishing in the early morning until we see the water cool some more. There are fish around down at the mouth.
Coastal Estuaries: Time to start tying up your favorite Sea-Run Cutthroat flies as there are fish in the lower estuaries right now and we should see some good action soon from these aggressive fish.
