Cabo Fishing Report for the week of 22-28 November from Picante Sportfishing.
Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, 30 November 2010. Cabo Fishing Report for the week of 22-28 November from Picante Sportfishing.

Cabo fishing is still hot. And the fish of the week are Striped Marlin. The Striped Marlin bite is still on. The weather has been pretty nice. Air temperatures have been in the high 70's to low 80's. And the water has been holding between 83 and 68 degrees Fahrenheit. Most of the colder water is on the Pacific side and along with the cooler water the baitfish are coming our way. Winds during the week have been kicking up the Pacific side so a lot of the fishing has been on the Cortez side. And after the full moon lull the fishing picked up. Some Picante Sportfishing boat charters are having hot streaks of up to 6 Striped Marlin. That is what Cabo fishing is all about.
The 22nd started the week with some great fishing for the 45' Cabo yacht, Picante 45 with Captain Danny Carrera and mate Pedro putting the Kimmelman party onto 5 Striped Marlin. Not only did they release their marlin, they also boated a nice Dorado and a Wahoo for dinner. Congratulations to the whole Kimmelman party.
November 23 was a good day for the Smith family aboard the 35' Cabo flybridge, Picante Dream with Captain "Palin" Cesena and mate Ivan. They released 3 Striped Marlin. It was also a good fishing day for the 31' Express Cabo yacht, Picante Expresso, with Captain Eduardo “Lalo” Cesena and mate Reuben, as they put their clients onto 12 Yellowfin Tuna.
The 24th was another day of the Marlin with 20 Marlin being released. The top boats were the Picante Expresso with their clients in the Neighbors party with 6 Striped Marlin, and the Picante Dream with 5 Striped Marlin.

On the 25th, with few boats out fishing, the top boat was the 32' Cabo Express, Picante Express. Captain "Nino" and mate "Chikis" put their clients onto 4 Striped Marlin that were brought to the boat, tagged and released.

The 26th was another great marlin day. There were 18 Striped Marlin caught, and the boat of the day was the 45' Cabo Express, Picante 45 with their release of 5 Striped Marlin for the Johnson party. Nice work by Captain Danny Carrera and mate Pedro. They made their Cabo sportfishing clients' day.
The 27th was the day for the Rising Sun with their catch of 10 Yellowfin Tuna. And throw in a Dorado and you have a great day on the water in Cabo.
The two boats of note for the 28th were the Picante 45 with their 3 Striped Marlin released for the Mulholland family and the Perro Caliente with their 10 Yellowfin Tuna day.
Overall it was a great week with 66 Striped Marlin, 33 Dorado, 57 Yellowfin Tuna and 1 Wahoo. And we are expecting the fishing to keep on producing some nice catches of Striped Marlin and eatin' fish thru the holidays. We'll watch and see if there are any surprises during the holidays, with folks coming down to do some fishing in Cabo San Lucas.
