Bayside Marine, Santa Cruz fishing report 2-2
LINGCOD SIZE HAS CHANGED TO 22 INCHES &
CABEZON IS 3 FISH LIMIT AND 15 INCHES!
Feb. 1
The fishing for Surf perch has been going great now that the sand bars have developed. The Crab and Sand Dab fishing is still going well here close to Santa Cruz in 180-240 feet of water. There should be some Giant Squid in the Canyons but we have not heard of any good reports yet. There have been a few nice Salmon caught and released while Sand Dab fishing which is a good sign for our 2012 Salmon Season. The Steel head fishing got a little better here in Santa Cruz but we still need rain! We have great Shrimp and artificial baits for your Surf Perch and we will have live bait on the Sand Crab Classic!
The Let's Go Fishing Radio Show and affiliated sponsors are hosting the 8th Annual Sand Crab Classic Perch at the Santa Cruz Portuguese Hall (CPDES Hall) on March 10, 2012. All proceeds from this event beyond expenses for the event itself are donated to the Monterey Bay Salmon and Trout Project! You can sign up at Bayside Marine but there is a 300 person limit! Come now and get into this great Tournament!
