We still have some fresh Squid for Sea Bass!
The fishing out of Santa Cruz was good for Rock fish today near 4 Mile and natural Bridges. The swell is starting to come down so there should be some good fishing up the coast for Halibut this week. The Sea Bass fishing is still the same with a few reports of 0 fish and some 2 fish scores. The winds were not bad on the fishing grounds and the bite was a little better today. There is a nice warm water bubble near the Cape San Martin Buoy that is pushing this way so we may get a chance at Albacore after all.

The fishing here in Santa Cruz is still going decent near Natural Bridges in 60-100 feet of water. There were some good scores of Vermilion and Lingcod caught near Davenport. This is a good time of year to go looking for big north coast Halibut and Lingcod. The Monterey area was slower today for Sea Bass but there were still some fish caught. I fished near the Point of Monterey in 240 feet of water and got one 40 pound Sea Bass. The Sea Bass are still there you just have to put in the time.
