The fishing in Santa Cruz is still going with strong as you can see by the new photos today! There were some good scores of Halibut and Rock fish near the Mile Buoy and there were a few Seabass caught while drifting. There were even a few Thresher Sharks caught today. The Halibut are not just out front there has been some reports near 4 Mile Beach and in Capitola today. The Salmon bite was decent for the anglers who trolled near the 36'49/121'58. The fish were caught trolling Purple Haze Hoochies behind Green Hotspots down 240 feet. The Salmon were in the 10-25 pound range near the Soquel Hole. The Rock fishing was good at South Rock and on fire at Franklin Point. The winds were down today and are expected to stay down on Sunday. There may be a few boats looking for Albacore in the morning so we may a report Sunday.
