Talking 459 lb. Blue Marlin off a Jet Ski!!!

How bad ass is this? Will, one of our customers in the Melton Kona store captured this 459 pound blue marlin off his jet ski!

The fish was hooked up on a Bomboy Bullet while trolling between the bouys off Waianae on Oahu. He finally secured the fish after a 4 hour battle.

Here's the pic. Note the stretcher that the fish is on is what is used by lifeguards on their jet skis.

FYI - Apparently Will hooked and lost a grander before this particular fish and it quite literally stalked him by swimming up to his rig!

A buddy of mine on Kauai caught 2 blues and a 290lb. ahi on a 22' Whaler. I had to come put the blues on my boat for him so he could get in the harbor. I have heard of big ahi's caught on jet skis off of Kauai, but no blues. God, I miss it over there.

I want video or I call bullshit. Look at that thing! The varnish or epoxy is still shiny! Have any of you ever seen a fish that colorful after a fight, then was killed? Come on, I might have been born at night, but it wasn't last night. Best regards,

    Washashore,

Are you trying to insinuate that I'm posting BS? This guy Will was fishing for these marlin over the course of a month and his quest was fairly well known by quite a few fishermen in Hawaii that would gladly back up his story.

    Best regards,

    Jason

    Howzit..Jason

Will called me that day & he was so happy. Also not to long ago he lost another beast over a grand on my m-16 Bullet. plus the funny thing that he's dragging a magilla on the short corner. his dream is to catch a big marlin well he's half way there. especially running that magilla?
