Wow that should add some participants to the playing field and make the pots much bigger!!!! ...Going to be nice to be a trailerable center console

Thanks Mr Squid for the info. I must of missed it on the brochure they mailed or is it a recent decision ?

Is the limit still 125 from OC Sea Buoy?

I am assuming you have to leave from the same inlet every day.

As long as I can remember it has been 100 miles from OC sea bouy. According to the website 2010 rules it is still 100 miles. fromt the rules

b.There is a fishing distance limit of 100 nautical miles from the Ocean City Inlet sea buoy. Boats must fish within this limit regardless of the inlet of departure.

10 years ago my boat wouldn't make it 125 miles. No wonder I didn't know about it

    WTF ??

Damn next thing ya know they will be runnin it out of Hatteras and Charleston, and flyin fish to the scales in helicopters !! This is gonna be great for the OC economy !! Nothin like givin back to the community !! If I go across the board can I just email the pictures of my fish into Harbor Isle since I'll will probably be fishin 155 miles from there anyway ??? What a JOKE !!

Mike the way i see it, it can only hurt the OC economy but I don't think it can alter the fishing. The fishing is still 100 miles from the OC sea bouy. So its not like they can fish the point or the lindy because they are way south at rudee or way north. they still have to fish within 100 miles of our sea bouy. But he lost 100 boats last year and I am sure he is trying to make it by getting those boats to enter and fish from there home port.

But all fish must be weighed out of OC. So I wonder whats gonna happen if our buddy jake catches a 40lb dolphin out of rudee. Is he really can steam his ass all the way to OC just to weigh a $3,000 fish. 1 night transient slip, WMO fuel prices, TEASERS OR HARBORSIDE BAR TAB - that dolphin is gonna end up costing him a bundle

Bill, I know it will effect the OC economy, but as well it will present problems with the boundry rule as well. I don't think alot of boats are gonna run 120 to weigh a Dolphin but I know some will run 150 to weigh a White or Blue One !! If he's gonna do this, why have any boundries ??
