FALSE ALARM!!! The angler now states that it in fact WAS 8:30 when they put chum in the water... Shame on you, Pino, for starting all this ruckus...

My bad - So i guess they waited to start fishing until 8:45 and when they saw the shark free swimming under the boat they decided to wait a few more minutes before they actually put the line in the water and catch it. ooooookkkyyyy dooookkkkeeyyy. Not sure which one sounds more improbable. Cheating and starting early or watching a big shark swim under your boat and deciding to wait a few more minutes before putting your lines in the water Congrats on his state record catch!

The guy is a liar. Im sure that they put the chum in at 8:30... let the chum get ripped off the boat...saw a shark, put another bag out, THEN waited to fish for the winning shark they saw. That guy is full of s***. And whatever kind of mickey mouse operation he was on is as well...

Wow, I have been getting a kick out of this thread for a while but i just have to comment. This dude threw bait in the water prior to 8:30. Why wasn't this guy DQ'ed or to say the very least why hasn't this guy gone ahead and DQ'ed himself. The ironic part of this whole thing is (i read the "other" board also) that he spent almost a week defending his position that it was not against the rules and then comes out and says well never mind Capt. Stu said I was wrong and the chum wasn't put out prior to 8:30am.

I am suprised neither the capt or the mate have decided to not come on either board and defend their actions. Either they broke the rules which they obviously did or they didn't break the rules and decided to maybe cook a few sausage and biscuits between 8:30 and 8:45am and watch the pretty shark swim around the boat before catching it. Man, that is confidence. Come on Capt or Mate - would love to hear it. You know whitebite (on the "other" board) said it best. Just do the right thing and give the money and the trophy to the second place team and say hey, sorry for inadvertantly breaking the rules. Now we know to never do that again. Here are your winnings. There is a huge difference Capt and Mate of the Ocean City Charter boat Lisa and crew between inadvertantly breaking the rules and admitting it and Out and out cheating and sticking to your stupid lie.

WHAT'S WRONG WITH HAVING A DOLPHIN OR A WAHOO CALCUTTA.....AND WHATS THE DIFFERENCE IN THAT OR A SHARK CALCUTTA?

THEY CAN ALL BE CAUGHT WHILE TROLLING AND THAT'S MY POINT........

...........IF YOU WANT TO HAVE A TUNA CHUNKING TOURNAMENT FOR SMALL BOATS - OR WHATEVER THEN MAKE IT A SEPERATE TOURNAMENT. I ACTUALLY AM PRESENTLY FISHING A SMALL BOAT AND WE TROLLED ALL THREE DAYS. WE CAUGHT MAHI'S ONLY AND THATS JUST THE WAY IT IS......WE ONLY FISHED THE MEATFISH CALCUTTA'S BECAUSE OF FUNDING THIS YEAR AND WE TRIED,.....AND TO ALL OF THOSE BLESSED ENOUGH TO GO ACROSS THE BOARD - GOOD ON YOU,......BUT WE COULD NOT DO IT THIS YEAR.

AND THAT IS EXACTLY THE REASON WHY I SUPPORT THE OTHER CALCUTTAS BESIDE THE TUNA AND THE MARLIN.
