    Wink Why snell circle hooks???

    Need I say more??? Any way we were 4 for 10 this morning with a snook and 3 for 9 this afternoon with 3 big snook. Miserable ratio's, but that pic says it all...

    So what your saying really is that if I want to increase my foul hooking/ complete miss ratio on tarpon I should snell all my hooks right ? I love bringing them in backwards they fight so much better........ sorry had to do it he he

    Mike,when you have passangers with out a lot of knowledge,put the rod in the holder with the bail over.Try it on your next trip.Take the rod out of their hand and they cant make a mistake.When I fished with Omar,if you let them run you would seem to miss more.Fish them in gear.I know I know,nothing like setting a hook but not with the circle.JMHO,Tom

    Yeah, Rodney Holder hooks them pretty good most of the time when I'm fishing as well. There are no absolutes with any type of hook. I've gut-hooked sails on non-offsets before. But the odds are a lot better against. Are there any absolutes in fishing? Anyone out there?
