Hey guys,
I was reading something Sportsman mentioned in the other thread and it got me thinking:
I'd just like to ask all of you involved with the eastern sea board billfishery why no current is a positive factor for billfishing. I remember reading similar comments from NC Captains in the past. Is it because the fish and baitfish use these areas to get out of the prevailing current or ??? It interests me because in my local area the presence of current is viewed as a major positive factor but then neither do we have anything like the strong current flows of the gulf stream. If you can rig and hook a fish, hire a Captain. You'll get your chances when you've got a man that can stay on top of a bait mark during the bite. One that will find that water with no current and good temp/color/edge.
Really appreciate your thoughts/observations/comments
Best regards
patudo
