what is your opinion on this?
I found this sytem at a forum in Spanish,
Did you think we can applied this system when we are fishing for dorados or maybe for billfish like sailfish, maybe its not IGFA but for the anglers who like to set the circle hook its good,
Interesting concept! Sancocho, what do you think? Does this give the fish a chance to "eat" the fly, then turn away for the circle hook, like we do with circles on ballyhoo? Or does the fish try to eat the fly again when it misses (open mouth, miss hook, repeat).
I haven't caught very many on the fly but the ones I have, they were really keyed in on the fly, hard enough to get them to swim away from the boat so you could strike 'em...
You're in the right place, this could be groundbreaking research!
not sure the specifics on the bite or how well it would work but i like the idea of it.. offshore maho and bills i am not sure but you never never know!! kinda like a stinger rig!!
but i will say this.. the new circle hook bonanza is bring up a ton of new ideas and inventions! i cant wait to see how things go over the next few years.. quick rigs, this new system!! i am soooo excited to see whats next!
As long as the eye of the circle hook does not extend past the end of the skirt on a trolling lure it would still be IGFA legal for tournaments and world records.
