What to do when outgunned?

We dont have as much experience here as some but anymore we dont have any windons less than 200lbs and no leaders shorter than 25ft. As far as the meat fish we still catch more than our far share but when a blue comes along at least we are ready. We are still learning but the blues are so much faster and unpredictable. I hate it when they are grayhounding at the boat after they are hooked up!! I just cant get out away from them fast enough. But we are getting better at it. I guess we are going to have to do the Panama Gas and Go GO GO after hookup!!!! Once we are clear we have no problems staying in front of the fish....Mark

My wind ons on the big guns are 300, on the 50w gear they get 2oo or 250, the 30 gear gets 130... On my bigger blue marlin class lures they get 400-500. Small lures get 200-300...

I see above the mention of them charging... Yes they do. Usually they miss or turn off... Then well... Sometimes they don't... When they don't you best be good a t doing that "Ole" bullfighting shit real quick.
This big ***** was bound and determined to put our angler in the chair in the headlines! A last second turn had her drill the out rigger between first and second spreaders instead of landing in the pit... You can see the busted rigger hangin in the back...This gets back to having your best wheel man on the wheel...

Yes get in front of them... But for the initial few runs... Just let em have at it going the other way...
