Great pics squid. My fishing partner and I qualified on the last leg down there and I couldn't get of work for the championship. We will be there for the first leg of 2010. Great place!!!
More from the final day. Angler Tom Russell was off to a fast start catching 4 sails but no marlins to be seen. Jon was busy rigging and rerigging.
teasing in a sail to the flatline chugger
In the end Tom Did get his Striped Marlin and was ahead by 100 pts. Tom Called out the 2 minute warning
his sensi was keeping watch with 45 seconds to go
As time was called Butch gave Tom the double thumbs up for a job well done and congrats as the WBS World Champion. Fishing is a team sport but man is that final day tough on the sole angler managing 3 rods from start to finish. Tom is truly a world class angler and a gentleman Champion Congrats and enjoy the rest of the celebration
