Ai-yi-yi-yi! I LOVE that sequence of the boat backing down on that one sail, balls to the wall, scaring the hell out of him with the wheels, then going to hand-to-hand combat on the leader! Out of a huge number of billfish that I have been involved with over a lifetime of chasing them, I was almost always on the wheel, not the rod and reel, and that perspective brought many great days of doing my particular thing back to me.

Yeah! Standing in the tower with your back to the controls and your hands on the throttles and shifters, countering every move of a great gamefish, diesels roaring, the deck shaking under your feet as the mills and wheels rip your baby backwards...ambrosia. Pure ambrosia!

Thanks all for that great look back...as in, "Let's go backwards! Look at 'er go!"

was a slow but fun day we caught 2 stripeys and a sail and got mugged by dorados. had capt greg penley and his son garret onboard from CAROLINA MAGIC hookin the fish for their friends who fished for the first time. now they are hooked for sure and did well angling for the first time. capt fred u can come down here and fish with me anyday of the week.... thanx
