Tuna Leader Question
Just equipped a pair of custom spinning rods with big Fin-Nor reels loaded with 50-lb braid. I've Bimini'd loops on the ends and want to build leaders for casting metal, etc. at Cape Cod Bay bluefins. I'm thinking 60 lb flouro, 2' long, barrel swivel on top and barrel snap/swivel below. Any suggestions for line weight/length and hardware would be appreciated. Thanks for the help.

I have never seen the advantage of the loop connections with regards to tackle so light. If anything, it makes casting more trouble because you have more garbage going through the guides. Fishing 60 lb leader and 50 lb main...just go with the uni to uni. I have never seen one fail that was properly tied...and it's much easier to properly tie uni to uni than the alternative.

Sit down Shut up And fish
What HOLWA said... no need for hardware of your using poppers...
If your using jigs... you may want to consider a small swivel...
It also depends on the weight of that your casting...
Leader length... depends on whats the other end... if you are only using 60 lb leader... with a 50lb main line... it doesnt have to be long because of strength as your main line is probably as strong as your leader... espesially when the first tooth touches it...
