They're Freezing up in Buffalo *(Insert your own East Coast City)*, They're Stuck in their Cars. I'm lying here beneath the Sun and the Stars.

Thanks and Apologies to Mr. Jimmy Buffet
"Manana"

Actually I personally am not "Down There", I am looking out the window at almost two feet of snow trying to get the courage to pick up a snow shovel and dig my way out, but then on the other hand, Why? However Capt. Gerry Jordan and his mate Sergio are in Guatemala and they are hard at work making sure that the fishermen on the "Tijereta" are catching sailfish like this big one caught on December 23rd along with his partner in a super exciting double catch and 7 big Dorados that will be enjoyed as part of someone's holiday dinner.

I'm still waiting for post Christmas reports, but this is vacation time in Guatemala and work time for all the Parlama Sportfishing crews. Of course they are much more interested in catching fish than talking or writing about them. As for me I am here to do the talking so if you have even a little interest in heading to warmer weather give me a call.

If you look at the weather reports and see temperatures even for southern Florida you will need more than a swim suit down there and if you remember last winters Florida fish kills you will have to wonder how much they recovered and if the current temperatures will cause a repeat.

Jump over to the main page of the Fish Guatemala web page and spend some of this down time web surfing over all the links that are available to see all the great vacationing possibilities. Check out the truly affordable prices on the Tijereta and other Parlama fishing trips as well as Guatemala travel in general. The weather sticker below is for Puerto San Jose, Guatemala home of our main base Marina Pez Vela. I think it speaks for itself.
