yes, tradition puts it in august but someone had to ask the question with the hot white bite the last few years... Thoughts?
Keep in august cause of tradition
Keep in august cause the sept white bite in 08 and 09 won't happen this good in the future
Move to September

Don't see that happening. Weather is worse, not saying we don't get our fair share of wind that week in August. Also I don't think Jim wants to lose the crowds, which would probably happen in Sept.

Won't happen, as mentioned can't lose the summer vacation crowds who spend the money. Many business owners in OC would fight it hard, I think?
I beleive they should combine the recent Wahoo Round-Up with a Billfish Release Only Tournament in mid-to-late September. Call it the "Fall Classic". Fish 3 out 4 Thursday through Sunday. Releases on the honor system, no spotters needed. Maybe use those disposable cameras?
Points for White, Blue, Spearfish, Sailfish releases
Points for Wahoo killed and weighed
Boats can fish out of OC, IR and Cape May - fish must be weighed in OC or Cape May (the port you left from in the morning).
I like it, you just might even get me out of my deer stand to fish this one!
Its a business as much as a fishing tournement...
Plus to many fish will surely die ahah....and really... you cant time the 2 week period where the bite will be red hot...
Call it fall brawl...10g's in release calcuttas and photo verification...
