Yea, you have to turn the volume up so you can hear the tapping. It's pretty funny. Perhaps trying to smack a bait out of the bait ball and his bill keeps hitting the dredge. Smacked one rubberfish and the tail wrapped around the bar and it was still going after it. Perhaps hearing it's mouth snap shut as well???
If you can just picture what a mountain due bottle and electrical tape would look like on a dredge-------It really looks about 10 times uglier.
And that is more then one fish which just goes to show how stupid these things really are. And we're trying to outsmart them.
Gotta go now as I have to tie up a bunch of 30lb flouro rigs and replace all our hi-vis line with clear for our next sailfishing adventure. Maybe if they came out with a super thin camo line for the dredge reel so we wouldn't worry about them seeing that heavy mono in front of the dredge and getting spooked. Perhaps I could.................

So confused.....
That fish could not figure out why he couldn't stun them....
I find it amazing how instinctively he thwacks then opens his mouth. The sail expects the shad to end up in his mouth directly after stunning it...he thwacks with the bill EVERY time....even at the end when he pulls down the squid chain....he hit it first.
Simply awesome footage....I've watched it far too many times already to get any work done.

What an amazing video. Its hillarious how confused that pool sail seemed that nothing was fluttering back into his mouth...almost made me feel a lil sorry for him. I cant stop watching it!
