Pics Guatemala Fishing Sept 16 and 17th

Fished a couple of half days of maintance days on the Monkey Business and the Furious out of Iztapa Guatemala a few days ago. We only fished a few hours each day as we worked on Maintance stuff and trained a new mate. The blue water started moving in and we got some really nice dolphin and a couple sails on the second day and a single sail out of two bites on the first day. Needless to say the place is paradise. The sailfish are around but obviouisly not in the abudant numbers as their summer season.

On day one we started off with the biggest dolphin of the trip.

After that we had a sail come up on the marlinstar tomahawk teaser and got him on the right flat.

ended up getting run over by more big dolphin and ended the day with a triple of twenty lbers

Day two started out the same way with some big dolphin and then had a single come up on the Marlinstar Tomahawk. I was able to pick him off on the middle bait. I still am unable to reel in fish so I handed it off to the captain. We all got a good laugh out of that.

then we had another sail come up on the right long. Got him hooked up and the fight was on.

Here are some shots of coming home and the sites you may see coming through the inlet in Iztapa to Buena Vista Sportfishing lodge.

Buenavista Sportfishing Lodge is an all inclusive lodge with vessels from 26 to 37 feet. The lodge has an ultra professional staff and knowledgable crews that will put you on the fish day in and day out. Dollar for dollar you will get more billfish for your bucks and have one hell a great time.

The summer season - Dec-April is filling up fast and I highly recommend people call 1-866-399-3277 get secure your dates to this winter billfish paradise.

    G-Land Tomahwks....

Bill, awesome report and I am so stoked the boys in G-Land have taken a liking to the Tomahawk. I am back from the island so maybe we could talk about some custom pieces for your Capitans' down there. Thank you for all your support!

Dave, your season is on the horizon as well. Let's talk now before all hell breaks loose.

Thanks again guys...really stoked the lures are working well for you.
