I think he is runnin it for this tourny, I'm pretty sure Viking sold the Demo boat, he ran it for the new owner in the Stuart Light Tackle tourny, a friend of mine fished it with em.
looks like Brady win this one with 17 fish, catch 12 today if the results they posted are correct !!!

Cow Poke did win but there is alot of controversy and half a dozen protests about how he failed to report any fish over the radio...called his fish in with a cell phone to remain quiet to the rest of the fleet....he claimed to have no working radio on the boat...Tournament rules state that fish must be reported via radio if contact can not be made then another boat may relay the message

Yep, that is correct JB you gotta call em in on the radio, I'm a little surprised that no one else was around that he could relay the fish to, and I'm really surprised that none of the radios were workin on the boat

It passed there is a very small loop hole in the rules allowing them to get away with it it was frowned upon by the entire tournament fleet but the commetee had to allow it [/I]

the same thing happened in the Buc last year, friends of mine were fishin north and relayed their fish and another boat north called theirs in on the cell and didn't relay, they both catch 6 or 8 that day and the boys using the cell win the daily that day on time, I agree with the radio report or relay only no cell phone reports !!

    Classic Spanking

I am certain that the "committee boat" reported all of their (Cow Poke) releases on the VHF. Why would there be any protest? It is not the first time that releases have been reported by SAT phone, cellular or SSB. Especially when your are fishing on the northern boundry. Sounds to me that somebody´s feelings got hurt.

They took a gamble, ran to the fence and spanked the fleet fair and square! A classic PYC tournament win for Capt Mike Brady and mate Hans Kraaz!!!!!!!!! Congrats to Fishbone, Dave and Cruiser as well!

SeaMent and especially jbonvetti, you both seem a bit negitive in your post like............. they cheated or something. Maybe it is just me.

    Have a good day.

Hey FV, Fishbone is a personal friend of mine and I know Damn well that he ain't cheatin and nor do I think anyone on that boat would be cheatin either, my point is that I think that radios should be used in a release tourny, I fished the 700 line last year and I know Terry can't hear ya up there, if the rules state you can call em on the cell then so be it !! I'll tell Greg you said Hello when I see him next weekend !! And I hope they smoke em again next week in the Derby

Once you enter the PYC website click on "fishing tournament."

The 2009 PYC tournament rules can be reviewed.

Rule number 12 reads: Recording of scores.

    A. Each boat will recieve a daily log that must be turned in by 6:00pm daily by participating boat. The daily reports are the official scores of the Anglers - Not the radio score.

    B. Released billfish must be called into the official radio stating 1.Boat name 2.Angler. If transmitting is a problem due to distance you may phone (772)464-4411 or relay your time to another boat participating in the tournament. To qualify a release.............etc, etc.

Both C and D are mere irrevevant to topic being discussed here.

    Any questions?
