Most Aussie pros that I have known have been more likely to underestimate the size of the blacks, as opposed to overestimating them. They have a high degree of professional ethics when it comes to this sort of thing and picture, video, or live, the difference between a big marlin and a true grander can be hard to call, especially for an amatuer. I have a high degree of respect for the calibre and credibility of those Aussie black marlin hunters.

Absolutely unreal how small the wide angle makes that cockpit look. Very exciting video! Regardless of whether or not the fish weighed a grand; she's a big ole acrobatic ***** that swam away leaving us talking about her. Props to the crew...no doubt they've done that once or twice before.
