Went out of bayliss on wanchese a little late on sunday around 6am on the reel estate. Headed south/south east off of hatteras after seeing the water temps and talking to a few guys including bill and his friends. Started in around 68 degree water thinking the break was close to us and missed by a few miles. Put out a spread of ballyhoo and macks that went untouched for the first few hours. Decided to go all in when in 80 degree water around 1200+ fathoms and put out a spread of the biggest black barts that are made... Brazilliano, super plunger, 1656 angle, pro jet and one other. 30 minutes later the super plunger behind the squidnation teaser chain goes off and minutes later the man in the blue suit was dancing behind the boat. Over an hour and half later, we released a 350-400 blue marlin and called it a day. Really pretty out there but tough working with a 3 person crew on a 60 foot express. Will post the limited pics I could take tomorrow. Thanks bill --can't wait for the warm water to show up off OC!
