Fishing out of Los Suenos, we just make it over there a couple times/year. Used to be great bottom fishing a little closer at "26", but seems like the spear fishermen keep that beaten down pretty good. I don't understand it, shooting that many cuberas? Why even shoot the roosterfish, aj's and mullet snapper?
James tells me about those grouper rocks, but we haven't done much of it.
I'm heading home in a few days, back in April for a week or so. If I make it down to Quepos, I'll give you a ring.

Sounds good man. I'm actually out of Sierpe/Drake Bay, so if you come down this way PM me or something...lots of good vertical jigging, bottom, and topwater fishing here. One of my prospective property buyers winched this broomtail up on a 150 gram jigging rod yesterday. Had some good cubera topwater action as well. I'll be posting a report on the jigging and popping forum later today most likely.

No spearfishmen here, and very little commercial or recreational pressure as well.
