    Off to Drake Bay

The guys let me ride along yesterday and we beat down 8 for 11 sails. (I was 0 for 2). Today it pretty much sucked. I had an office day and the guys caught one more sailfish than I did in the "office".

We're loading up and heading out at daylight tomorrow. Going to Drake Bay for what hopes to be some great fishing. Reports of a good sailfish bite are bringing us down there, but we've got to explore some of the inshore fishing that doesn't get much pressure.

Reports and pics to follow in a few days....

Finally got air conditioning in my little tico apartment......man it's been hot.

    Howard,

Rusty got 'em good today. We caught 19 on the way down, picked along the way, but the best of it was when we got here. This morning we took off to where we left off yesterday, Rusty started a little further south and had 8 by the time we caught our first one. Got a call on a school of tunas and a log with bait not far from them, that was in the opposite direction of Rusty.......we went for the tunas, filled the tubes with bonito and charged out there, caught a really nice one, over 100#'s, plus a 50 pounder and a bunch of little ones on poppers. Back to the sailfish to end the day with 18 sails and 5 tuna that we kept. I think Rusty ended up with 38.

Working our way back to Los Suenos tomorrow and starting the grind.....

Congrats George, nice to see you guys got them. Had a nice time talking to and seeing Anna yesterday at the meeting. BTW, did you get my email on the river?

ended up with 14 on the way home.......50 in 3 days.....not red hot, but a heck of a lot better than what we've seen in a long time. Saw Harold heading in the right direction as we worked our way home.

Did not get your e mail Lee.

Hope they make it up the coast for the next leg of Los Suenos in 2 1/2 weeks. Might make it interesting if the sailfish numbers increase substantially. We will be there regardless.
