OC White Marlin Report from the Predator

another great day on the ocean. Fished with Donnie and jules from the predator. On board was Mover II and a bunch of his friends. We went 4 for 6 on the whites and caught 4 dolphin. 3 of them were surely a treat to take the time out of marlin fishing to catch. The aggregate total of our 3 cows was 97lbs. They came on a double header and pitch to a third that was hanging around the two we had on. All 3 put on a great show.

Billfishing was again incredible. quite a bit slower today but still had some cutters and caught some fish on the birds. Lots of teaser bites today which always makes the fishing exciting.

Thanks again Donnie and Jules for a great day.

I know they keep calling for a gale but it flattened out pretty good on the way home. by the time we left the boat around 9:00pm there wasn't a breath of wind. Bouy report says

watched Jonny work his magic on a ball of bait. He hooked one that was maybe 10 yards off our bow. Donnie did some manuvering to get out of his way. Pretty funny, on the way home Donnie said he expected some hollering on the radio since his fish was so close to us but Duffie never said a word as he caught the fish. Couldn't imagine that ever happening on the Hambone in early july
