Nassau- Chub- Bimini

Came out of nassau in some rough water. Had a white try to eat a featyer mid way between there and chub then nothing til we got close when some nice dolphin made our day.
Left chub yesterday and water was dirty. Over on the joulters side it was better but not great. Nothing but big brutal dolphin so we wound up and shot across the banks to Gun Cay cut.
Popped the spread back out and within minutes bowed up a really nice blue. Monster? No but solid four and maybe some change. Canyongear Timmy (the only other one on board) had the honors of trying to tame her on the 30w avet set stuck on... I gotta say this for him. He stood toe to toe with her and after an hour and change we had wind on on the reel and swivel at the tip.
Fish never cooled down. Got some pics but they suck being from the helm. Every time I'd come off to leader and hopefully get a better pic she bolted. We repeated this over and over and finally we just let her go.
At the cut in front of Bimini we were putting the riggers up. Tim in the tower and me on the gunwale when we had a smaller blue hammer a lure... Pulled off as she ran with us just stuck where we were "duhhh"...
Raised three billfish today but no eaters. Good stack of good sized dolphin but not much more...

Tim went home this morn and i caught up on detailing the boat. Re rigged lot of stuff and basically settlingin. Tarpon are thick in the basin today. One boat came in with a good bottom catch. Couple slob ameberjacks in the pile made their day a good one...
Wanted to thank Tim for his help bringing the boat over. As for damaging himself fighting fish... It will heal...
Cracked conch on the hill calling my name. Gotta go...
