I did mess with it alittle a few weeks ago in the bahamas. I used 2 pieces of monel and creaded a bridel through the head came out under the gills then slid my lead on and came back up through the mouth. then I plit the monel into two separate legas ans wrapped them in opposide directions around the head. Then I stitched it up like a normal mullet. Im fishing a few days nexr week I will rig another and post pics. It swam great nothing ate it though.

Bad Luck
I lost the biggest blue marlin of my life on a 16" swimming mullet rigged with a 20/0 circle hook last year....
Everyone was shaken by that fish.... |

You can just use Monel and an eggsinker. Assuming the mullet is deboned, split and wedged. Simply pass the monel through the wedge, pass the sinker on to the monel and finish with a haywire twist. Now make a twist around the hook in front of his nose. Then stitch him as needed.
