Not sure if people saw this or not, but there was a 1,098 Blue Marlin caught off the Ivory Coast. There have been a few others caught in the 900 lbs range.

Look at how prominent the stripes on that fish are in the last photo. I can just about see how back in the old old days Zane Grey thought the thousand pound blue he caught in Tahiti was a giant striped marlin.

Congratulations to the angler, captain and mate.
As Duke Blue Blood states, there have been several big blues captured in The Gulf of Guinea off Abidjan, Cote D' Ivoire, Africa.
One was angled by a 15 year old and went 298 kg. One went 440 kg and one at a wopping 501 kg. The head of the one in the foto (sans bill) was 120 kg and was buried in the Med. after a mold was made.
