Isla report fishing on the Obsession

Arrived last friday in Isla. We fished saturday with Jeff Ross on the Obsession. I have fished with Jeff many times. I had not been to Isla since 2007. I did not realize how much I missed it. The wind was blowing as usual, 15 to 20. I had a few people who have never been out fishing on the ocean. One did not do so well, but his girlfriend was a trooper. We ended up with 18 release. We lost 20 due to a learning curve for the new people. But we had a great time. We took sunday off and fished monday. We were greeted to winds of 25+. We did not see many boats out, maybe six fishing around us. Jeff was not sure if he wanted to fish or head back to the docks. We set the lines out and in about 2 minutes we landed the first fish of the day. Needless to say we stayed out all day. Released 22 fish in horrible conditions and had a blast. My wife fished that day and landed all six of her fish. I was so proud. Pictures to follow.

It was really hard to go home Tuesday. Especially after the wind laid down that morning. Jeff was really looking forward to a few calm days. He said it had been blowing for the last 10 days.
