Isla Mujeres - Things starting to pick up, and also the Island Time Tournament

We got to fish w/ JR & mate Richard on the Obsession yesterday. Even though the fish were not very aggressive yesterday we managed to catch 23 out of 33 bites around the birds and baitballs, the trolling bite was non existent but the bird show went on all day. The porpoise would push the balls so fast it was hard to get a good pass, but the highlight for me was my 11 yr old son got to catch 5 sails, a king mackeral and a bonito!! He was thrilled to say the least! Take a kid fishing!!!!!

Thats an incredible fishery. Love the bites inbetween the birds on the teasers. love seeing the fish lumber under the birds. On the important stuff. where'd ya eat. rolandis, ballyhoos give us some menu items. love the food there. fish tacos at that joint on the corner of the noth end of the main drag. can't remember the name. They have the upstairs outside dining.

I tried Rolandis last year. First place I ever had a lobster calzone, but exactly one month from now, I'll have my second.

Hey guys, I'm heading to Cancun Feb. 3rd and I'm looking for a good boat to fish on. Any suggestions? I jumped on a boat last year from Cancun and it was so slow we couldn't really head out for sails. This year im thinking take the ferry to isla mujeres and get a boat from there, there should be around five of us,give or take. All of us have experience catching tuna in CCB.

Try Jeff Ross on Obsession or Fin Gaddy on Qualifier, both top notch capts. go to Enriques dock a couple blocks north of the ferry, you will catch plenty with them!
