    What'sup...

Hope things are okey-dockey; i'm doing fine as kind as ya know ??? Going Fishin instead of Wishin for a change!

I was also curious to see what the 16 Piper w/brass and no trolling weight would do myself ,so i found out the easy way on the ride home from a 3 night canyon trip .. FrankPapp's Hat "Fortunate" does 22-24 knots; for 100 miles; canyons to P-town ... i settled in for the ride (that's my sercet way of saying the Heine-kegs are COLD); doing this doesn't compute with being normal; but this isn't normally normal. but since i seem to have been dubbed CRAZY Capt Jay (yet another cross to bare) ; I'll go with the flow here .... lol

She thru-up a roo'ster tail 6-8 feet HIGH (funny as shit); then dived a tad, then back for the water show... we were all in awe, laughing are butts off's... what a way to amuse yourself on the long ride home... Anyhoo all in all it was a pissa. think it lost 2 strands off the outter skirt, but it could have been from the 3 days getting pulled fishing ... I dunno... that's it ...Cool beans brothers! The #16 ran great to 20 knot's... sea's were flat, once at 24 knot's .. it would tumbled once in a while, but with NO trolling weights! So i'm sure you'll achive super sonic with the addition of the trolling weight, but who likes those dame things anyhoo ???? good to go at 20 Knots anyhoo, hoo ..

I'll pull a few from Trinidad to Tobago Saturday one with and w/o weight and report back in couple of weeks

One more thing concerning the Piper; on the website the "Pipe" of the Piper is also the shoulder. this was a earlier version , now with this next generation of Pipers and the update coming soon to the website, the PIPE is now part of the head, so it uses standard PVC or Brass shoulders and truely is a Quickey Change PIPER with this new modification .. made possible by not only the material but CNC capabilty.... and the machinest running it

Am i close to being accurate Rodski/Fredster ???

Steve; We'll hookup in a couple weeks brother Gone Fishin

Catchemup on Pipers, i have and will continue to do so, looking for something big, really big to jump all over it! Don't want to say that "G" word , not quite yet, it's got the mojo writen all over it #22 White or Black, don't matter for this Crazy salty-sea dog ..

    Jay

    My apologies....
Too much good info to be spam. Thanks. I love hearing about how lures are made and tested. I think they get a bad name in the Carolinas because dead bait prep takes a lot of time and professionals here see it as "slacking" or being lazy. Fish are fish and if it works in your part of the world I think it will work here. This is the year I plan to find out. Cheers roddy

    Carson,

Call me "Smilin' Slack Jack" if you like, but until the time arises when I can troll a real 'hoo at fifteen knots, forget twenty, when I am going between different places or running a long temp break, or covering long pieces of structure, I don't even want to SEE a real 'hoo, thankee, mate! And when I can do that, plus change the colors to anything I want to in no time flat AND never have a bait blow out on me, and save a bunch on bait money too? Well, I consider that a really great thing too. And skipping the rigging time, etc.? Shoot, "Smilin' Slack Jack" I'm happy to be!

Lock and load, Carson...you or anybody else who runs Pipers are going to be some mighty happy campers! This is truly a special, innovative new lure!

    mmm, Mrs Hays.
PM me with your requirements, Mozz. I'll tell you all then, but we can ship you stuff pretty quick from Florida. It'll leave the same day (or next) that you order.
