Help me Name a Seafood Restaurant

Buenos Dias from Los Suenos & Jaco Beach;

So after years of hearing the same question over & over again here from our hundreds of clients and other tourists in the area " Where is a good Seafood Restaurant?", and not having a good answer...because there isn't one.... I am preparing to fulfill a life long dream as well as a big demand for what will finally be a real Seafood Restaurant here in the Jaco Beach & Los Suenos area.

So I thought I would call on the SF.com community for some ideas for a name as I'm sure you can come up with quite a few great suggestions.I have always been good at coming up with catchy names and slogans, but it would be great to get some feedback from fellow Salty Dogs and Anglers.

Here are a few I am contemplating....please post your ideas. Get as creative as you want, it's Costa Rica and anything goes!

Captain Snappers Seafood Grille & Grog

Tail & Ale

Jaco Aqua Grille

Sea-Best Seafood House

Rum Runners

Fish-Bonz

Hooker's Fish House

Outriggers Seafood Grille

Stowaway's Seafood Deck


When all is said and done, there will finally be a Seafood restaurant here plastered with Nautical Decor, fishing pictures, great music, a full bar, plenty of TV's with all games and events, a real happy hour, and Killer Seafood dishes at reasonable prices.

Yes.. Fried and Grilled Shrimp Platters, Huge Grouper, Mahi and Snapper Sandwiches and platters with Creamy Cole Slaw, Real Hush Puppies, garlic Toast, Seasoned and Sweet Potato fries, Great Lobster dishes, Fish Tacos, Quesedillas, Fish Fingers,Fish Chowder, and a lot more will soon be avaialble to tease and please all in the Jaco/Los Suenos area!


**NOTE** As it goes without saying...I'll say it anyway.. There will be NO Marlin or Sailfish on the Menu or served as a part of any dish in my restuarant.

PS- If I pick the name that you suggest- I'll treat you to 2 nights in a beautiful Condo here in Jaco- $100 off a fishing charter and Dinner for 2 for 2 Nights after I get it open(6-8 months from this post hopefully)

A FEW YEARS AGO A COUPLE FROM HOLLAND BOUGHT AN OLD RESTARAUNT IN MHC...SPENT UPTEEN THOUSAND ON THE REFIT....THE PLACE WAS GORGEOUS...I THOUGHT IT WAS GOING TO BE A LOCAL HIT....I COULD JUST SEE THE OFFSHORE DECOR RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME BEFROE THEY BOUGHT IT!

BUT NOOOOOOO


THEY PUT NASCAR PICTURES ON THE WALL AND THEN NAMED THE PLACE "MOBY DICK'S"


NO I AM NOT KIDDING YOU.....YES, THEY SHOULD HAVE BEEN SHOT AND PACKED OUT BACK TO HOLLAND...

LATER AS THE PLACE BARELY SURVIVED ON TOURNIST TRAFFIC, SOME UNKNOWN PERSON TAPE A NOTE TO THE FRONT DOOR AND LEFT

THE NOTE I'M TOLD READ: DUDE...MOBY DICK'S....YOU ARE KIDDING RIGHT? DO YOU SERVE WHALE MEAT OR SOMETHING? CHANGE THE NAME DUDE! CHANGE THE NAME AND MAYBE YOU CAN TURN THIS PLACE AROUND!

WELL LO AND BEHOLD I WAS DRIVING DOWN HIWAY 70 AND LOOKED OVER AT ....WHAT? A NEW NAME!!! A NEW SIGN!!!


SOME GENIOUS CHANGED IT TO : "MAYFLOWERS"

A FRIGGING RESTRAUNT NAMED MAYFLOWERS IN A FISHING TOWN SUCH AS MOREHEAD CITY.... UNREAL....I COULD UNDERSTAND MASSACHUSETTES BUT NOT IN CAROLINA! GEEEZZ


I LEFT...I MEAN THAT SAME PERSON ALSO LEFT A NOTE ON THE MOREHEAD CITY MANAGER'S OFFICE DOOR AS WELL

I would try to stay away from names like Happy Hooker, etc. Go with something classier, Dancing Marlin, El Pescador, something like that. Good luck!
