Guatemala fishing hot even in the summer

If this is the time of year for the fishing to be off we can’t wait for the high season! For those who have stayed tied up at the dock or who did not venture out about 12-15 miles to the blue water these past few days fishing as been slow. Fortunately a few of the boats in the Iztapa fleet made the run with fly fishing enthusiasts aboard. The effort was rewarded with on average of 23 sails raised and plenty of Dorado. Goes to show you if you put a bait out they will come. Even in July.
