Grand Slam plus a Blue One!

Man, what a great day on the water.

Today we had the Strickland boys from Gloucester and Hampton.

We started out catching a mess of dolphins around a float.

Shortly Randy the brithday boy, caught a fiesty sailfish.

The boys caught a few more dolphins and a nice little blackfin.

A white marlin popped up on the long rigger and Stephen did a great job bringin it to the boat quickly.

We milled around a little bit with no bites then made a tack to the deep, about 150 fathoms, a little 200 pound blue marlin came to the teaser. Jeremy hooked him on pinky but he came off, I put the boat back in gear and the right longrigger came down. Hooked up, Blue Marlin!

Trent did a fantastic job battlin him on light tackle and quickly brought him to the leader, hot 200 pound blue marlin on 30# test!

We had caught a grand slam, Jeremy's first, but we were not done.

Was not long after the first blue marlin when a second, much larger 450+ ate pinky.

Stepen on the rod again for a nice heavy tackle battle on an 80 with a 12 wire leader!

This big girl did some jumpin too, bout jumped in the boat a couple of times.

Brought her to the leader still very green! She put on a show for sure. Leader parted while Jeremy had a wrap for a clean release!

When we got back to the dock, Jeremy got Creeked!
