Just an update on the fishing here in Guatemala, The off season fishing here in Guatemala can be spotty and somewhat of a crapshoot during the off-season, but for the moment, it is on! The normal current from the west, that drives our fantastic sailfishing and off-season Marlin fishing has still yet to show itself, but a very strong easterly is bringing what seems to be some of the better sailfishing of the year. We decided to take the Intensity out on Fri. the 10th after hearing about some Marlin being seen the day before, we didn't see ours, but the Sailfish wouldn't leave us alone. Four hours in the afternoon produced over 30 raises. Saturday, we entertained a local group of sugarcane farmers that decided to give it a try, and ended up catching 14 sails from 27 bites and filleting 32 dorados...FISHING IS GOOD!
