That was a double stripey hook up after having 4 in the baits. Funny story about the girl in the pic. Because of a flight screw up I had to fly into baltra and take a boat from baltra to san cristobal. I met this irish girl on the boat and we started chatting about her trip and mine as well. I told her that I was fishing for marlin. She said she had never caught a fish before in her life. So we met for dinner with gary and braden later that night and I asked if she could tag along. Needless to say they both said yes. She ended up catching a striped marlin as her first fish. I will post some better shots later.

If you met her in Baltra i bet she had a full columbia outfit on and had a titanium walking stick and Darwin's field Guide under her arm.
Every person I met there with the exception of 5 total fishermen, was there for the eco tours!! |
