The cape may boat Judge came into oc last night and left this morning for the Norfolk. They caught the first white marlin today and are now back in oc. Had a few gaffers as well. Congrats to Capt Blaine and crew.
I just talked to Blaine, there on the way back to Cape May! Nice work Jim, Spencer and Captain Blaine!! Now you just have to get the first Cape May White

Capt. Blaine is the man!! Congrats to the crew.
To end any undue speculation. Since Mr. Miner is not a member of the OC Marlin Club, the fish will not count for the club, but it WILL count as first in OC. The $1000 prize the club offers is still up for grabs. Originally I was told that Jenn Aldridge was the angler (and she is a member), but than I was told that Mr. Miner actually caught the fish. The town of OC follows the same rules as the Club. Boat must depart and return from OC and be less than 100 nm from OC for the catch to count. Larry Jock called me and whoever it is at the Town to verify all of this.
Put briefly, officially the first White, and will take the prize for the town. Still a prize left out there for an OCMC Member.
