Here is the first report we have from one of Guatemala Boats. The sailfishing has not really kicked in yet but they still managed to raise a few. Had a 6.6 earthquake hit in the ocean a few miles up the beach. All is OK and the lodge is shaping up great. Come on down this winter to experience the best sailfishing in the world.
Capt Joe Riley from the Muff Diver will be running one of our boats this winter. He shot down their to get a little warm up. Here is his tuesday report.
From Joe Riley
evening guys, the first day of fishing is over. 9 yellowfin, 3 20lb dolphin and one out of two sailfish. water was green and lots of trash in it. the guys that i am fishing with do not want excess meatfish and i am thinking that that is what is available this time of the year. we only saw two sails, flubbed the first one up and the second was calm a cozey. angler did it himself. Weather was good all day is raining now. We are eating mahi mahi and tuna tonight.
