dink reel

its simple. you have 300.00 bucks (plus or minus a few dollars), what reel for sailfish and whites? (capt's dink pole for up top.)

i really like my tld 20's, my tyrnos, and have used several smaller avets. happy with all of them.

if it was your dollar, paired with my 15-30 shimano dink pole, what would you get?

capt considers weight is a major consideration so i guess 2 speeds are out of the question.

just interested to see what you would go with.

There is a reason why more sails and whites are caught on TLD 20s and 25s than any other real. Super smooth freespool and bullet proof construction.

I would buy tld 25s and put the very large aftermarket handles on them. They are a dream and you can catch just about anything in the ocean on them.

Another vote for the TLD25. I dont think there is a better match up. The drag, freespool and clicker on this reel are perfect for Whites and Sails....Mark
