    A Couple Squidnation Dredge Pics

We are gonna try some of these new colors in Galapagos later this week. Braden said the bait has a green sheen to it so I wanted to try this green dredge. And I have to give the red checker board squid a shot. So many times I see the bait flash when they all move in a certain direction. the red on one side and the white on the other will create that flash.

First reason is because we want to see if the fish come to our dredge.

second reason is to see if they stick around the dredge and let us present a bait to them as opposed to striking a lure and going away

Like I told bradon we don't want to reinvent the wheel we just want to know if our product will work in that enviroment. Its not always about fun fun fun anthony. Its about hundreds of hours of product testing and grueling note taking to improve our product. maybe if you would come on one of these trips with us you would realize that we are working here.

BTW for those of you that don't know Anthony is my nephew so I am obviosly toying with him since he is not coming with us. But rather sitting in West Virginia trying to gradutate on time and pitching cheese balls to trout the size of our dredge squids.

Bill they look great. Do you put any dead bait around the dredge? Do they tangle easy?b DO they spin, Iwould think that the wings would have to be cut off?

Anthony, you should try a powerbait cheeseball daisy chain. Bill, good luck, and take plenty of photos!

Product testing is only valuable in a place with alot of shots. You can see what works better when you have a huge data pool. ANd lets put it this way- if the dredges don't see fish in the galapagos, it may be time to go back to the drawing board!!

WHat i found most valuable in testing new stuff in those places was the ways to tweek the rigs to work more effectively. For example a teaser that raised a bunch of fish but tangled whenever you tried to pitch though it was not a great teaser, but when you tweeked it to not tangle and still raise fish, you knew you had something worth keeping in the water in OC.

Bill, plan this trip again next year- and I want in

Bobby - the concesus from testing this on the predator last year was that the dredges were very effective and did not tangle once deployed nor did they spin behind my boat, the predator and a few other boats that reported back to me.

The biggest negative was that it would tangle if dangled or sometimes layed on the floor. We are combatting that tomorrow with two new dredges that were are taking down. Hopefully we will see the same effectiveness in raising fish and not tangle in the pit or dangling. Not sure how bradon plans to deploy these. He did say he occassionally uses strips teasers but did not tell me if they were any better or worse then daisy chains and plugs.

We did not put any baits around the edges last year and all the reports I got back were that they were fish raisers. So we decided to keep it 100% squids.

I got ya Bill. It makes sence that is what they are eating. Maybe use like 200 floro on the droppers and they will be alittle more rigid. Good luck looking forward to the report.
