Very cool. Summer sails out of my old stomping grounds. You prolly could have moved into the beach and finished off your baits on big tarpon.

Usually when you think Florida Sailfish, you think of the late fall then through the winter. You can always fine a few fish hanging around. 4 weeks ago, we went 7 for 7 with a double. A lot of people thought that was pretty ridiculous for summer time Sails.
Bert, that tarpon fishing was in the back of our minds, but the beach run for the Tarpon has slowed considerably. We ran back from North of Ft Pierce looking to try and score at least 1 more sail but at that point it might have been a bit half hearted an effort. When we hit the inlet, I took 5 min to hook up a nice little 20lb snook before the run back into Rocky Pt. |
