Circles and Seawitches?

Has anyone determined what the best way to rig a C-hook and seawitch is?

After all this talk about and the regs requiring ONLY C-hooks to be run for all baits in any tournament which has a billfish division, someone has to be practicing catching tunas with Chook and seawitches or ilanders.

So far the only thing I've seen that looks decent to me is the pin style exactly the same as a J-hook. That C-hook looks awfully short and not exactly "catchy" when oriented this way...maybe I'll just use smaller ballys????

Rigged a C hook with an egg and pin. Went 4 for 4 on YFT. Had sea witchs and small wide rangers and naked with a spring. Set it up just like a J hook. See other posts with Capt. Fred Archer. He has this nailed.

Can't say as I've even tried such an idea with a witch & circle. I have attached a little octopus skirt to guac rigs and nose rigs to add a little color a couple of times---- fairly popular for Saildogs in the Stuart Florida area when the fish are in the green water.
Simply add the rubber octopus like you would a tube jig for freshwater bass.

So you guys are saying with circles just rig them like you would a standard J with a bally? Mark the hook exit and push it up back through under the gills?

I was under the impression you always wanted the circle all the way at the front.

I have no idea though thats why I ask
