    Check out the 8/0 and 10/0 Owner Tournament Mutu circle Hooks......these are awesome hooks with a large gap, and not too bulky, specifically designed for Marlin in the 100 - 400lb range. These are primarily for live bait (Mackreal, cabillito, etc.) but can be used on medium sized dead pitch baits as well. They aren't cheep but one of the best marlin hooks available.

    thanks for the suggestion Matt. Congrats on an incredible trip on the Salty. I read the reports and saw the pics. What an adventure. Would love to visit the islands one day.
