Circle Hook Forum is now Billfishing Around the World

The Circle Hook Forum has a new name but don't let that fool you. We still promote circle hooks for all marlin fishing. The reason for the change was more to highlight the ever growing sport of the traveling fishermen. As recent as 30 years ago it was an adventure of a lifetime to pack your bags and head to Venezuela, Costa Rica, Mexico or Guatemala. Nowadays folks are taking weekend jaunts to these locations to fish for their favorite billfish. The boundaries are getting further and further. Madiera, Ascension, Ghana, Azores, Brazil, Australia, New Zeland, Kenya and other far away destinations are being visited frequently in quest of billfish. So where is the next destination for the adveturous traveling fishermen. Whats biting in Kona today? How about Kenya? The Billfishing Around the World Forum will be the place to follow these locations.

But the billfish is what we are following not just the destination. So When the bite gets hot off of the Carolinas or the whites stack up in Ocean City or the Sails are thick off of Ft Pierce we will be reporting.

So please post up your billfishing reports here! In the meantime I guess I have to start traveling a little more to make this forum interesting

More sails at Chub than in most any year past but fewer marlin than I can ever remember. I'm headed stateside tomorrow but will be back next week... Nassau then Chub then possibly Great Harbour and finally back to Cat Cay/Bimini for June...

    mmm, Mrs Hays.
Madeira's season has kicked off already with a 700lb class fish, and Capt Jason Pipe is already a few fish up further south in La Gomera.

(as I am now a bonafide reporter can I carry your bags too ?)
