Charleston S.C. Report
Well, we dropped into Charleston for a week, and although the fishing wasn't red hot we still had a great time. The dolphin plague was in full force the days we fished, but we still managed a bite or two a day from billfish. Caught a sail and missed one, got one white marlin, and one out of two blue marlin another day. The Blue one was about 350 and we got him on a dink pole which is always fun. The water was 86 degrees in the afternoon, and pea green in spots, the bait is here and we had some really good marks, but not much billfish action. There are a few freejumping sails around, but I just don't think the mass of sails is here yet. Hope they show up before megadock for the guys. We did catch another wahoo on a shimano butterfly jig. And, I think we all gained about 20 pounds from the awesome food, I dont think there is a bad restaurant in the city. Anyhow now it is on to Wanchese for a week or two in the yard before we get to home sweet home O.C.M.D.
thanks for the report jonny. sounds like a great time in charleston. saw Jeremy cleaning up yesterday as we were testing my boat after some repairs. sounds like he had a long day. His boat sure looks sweet though
