Captain Recommendations- La Romana (Dominican Rep.)

Can anyone recommend a good charter captain for La Romana in the Dominican Republic? Thanks in advance for any help.

hi Mike,
if you wanna go for whites now fish in 40fathoms around the canyon drops 12nmls off Cap Cana like most boats did during the last weeks 2010 Cap Cana Intl Shootout or a few miles nort of the airport in the 6-10nmls off Cabo Engaño(last week less successful area but usually good for whites and sail), blues are available off Cap Cana in the same area but they are the small sized ones, perfect for last weeks 30lbs tackle/line event.
for good Blues go off Cap Cana or Punta Cana Marina in the 35+nmls area into the channel or try the area 15-25nmls off Macao a bit north of the hotelstrip area named bavaro.
at the moment there is still a bunch of good local and visiting boats available to charter at Cap Cana Marina and in Cabeza de Toro. a good contact to get in touch with boats is Andy New, the manager of Cap Cana Marina, drop him a mail on
